Description
This is a highly recommended combination tour. Xunantunich is one of the most impressive, well-excavated and easily accessible ancient ceremonial sites that flourished for over a thousand years. It was part of the splendor of one of the greatest ancient civilizations, one of only a few of ancient societies that developed a mathematical and writing system.
Cave tubing is electrifying and rejuvenating, it is is the perfect activity for a refreshing half day where you get to experience the timeless and weightless sensation of an optional few minutes of floating in total darkness.
After the beautiful jungle scenery of the winding Hummingbird Highway and a short jungle walk, you get to spend approximately 2 ½ hours in the “underworld”. The limestone geology and cave archaeology is accompanied by an interesting and wonderful talk by your guide in which ancient Maya use of caves and folklore seem to bring back that ceremonial mystic of ancient Belize in pre-Columbian times when caves were revered holy shrines.

Booking Tours & Cancellation Policy
Upsidedown Tours requests a 50% deposit on services reserved to confirm a reservation. The final payment is due 21 days prior to the arrival date. A full refund is provided less than US$ 50.00 or BZ$ 100.00 for administrative costs for cancellations received 21 days or more prior to arrival date. A refund of 50% applies to cancellations received 15-20 days prior to the arrival date. No refunds are offered for cancellations received 14 days or less prior to the arrival date.
Upsidedown Tours cannot be held responsible or liable for cancellations due to reasons beyond our control such as natural disasters, including but not limited to heavy rains, flooding, storms, or hurricanes. At whatever time possible another similar available tour can be substituted for tour cancellation.
