This specially designed tour takes place within the Maya Mountains in one of nature’s most pristine environments. The limestone topography of the Maya Mountains is permeated with many underground rivers that are part of giant cave systems; add the jungle and venture outside with us into the home of over 3000 species of plants, 163 species of mammals, 84 species of bats, 40 species of reptiles/amphibians and almost 600 species of birds.
Our Tour Guides are very experienced and knowledgeable about the different ecosystems within the jungle, they are also Emergency First Responders and have taken extensive training in Cave Rescue, Jungle Rescue, Swift Water Rescue, and Remote Duty Medic scenarios; they all possess an in-depth knowledge of the plants and wildlife of this region. With almost 600 species of birds, Belize is also a “birder’s paradise”, elusive species are guaranteed on this adventure. Tour also includes cave exploration, mixed with a feeling of adrenaline and cave archaeology, portal to ancient Maya religion and beliefs.
